Art Shell's helmet
Shell, a mainstay of the Raiders’ dominant offensive line, helped the team become the first wildcard team ever to win a Super Bowl. Oakland had an identical 11-5-0 regular season record as the San Diego Chargers but finished second in the AFC West based on the tiebreaker of net points in the division (Chargers beat out the Raiders 60 to 37).
Once in the postseason, Shell and the Raiders knocked off the Houston Oilers, Cleveland Browns, and the Chargers before defeating the Eagles in the Super Bowl.
