Deion's bandana
On Aug. 6, 2011 Deion Sanders was formally enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Prior to delivering his speech, he and presenter Eugene Parker, unveiled his Hall of Fame bust to the world.
"Prime Time" concluded his speech by looking back at his bust and saying " I got one final thing because I like him, but something's missing." He then walked from the podium to his bust and pulled out from his coat a signature bandana which he proceeded to tie onto the bust.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, a volunteer who was assigned to getting Deion's bust to the Hall of Fame inquired to museum staff what should be done with the bandana. Hall of Fame Registrar Christy Davis removed the bandana from the bronze sculpture and accessioned it into the Hall's vast collection of football memorabilia.
