Historical agreement now part of Hall’s collection

A historical moment took place on the Hall of Fame's front steps last summer when the National Football League and the NFL Players Association signed a new collective bargaining agreement. One of the signed copies of the document has now been donated to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The CBA, a 301-page deal that officially ended a player lockout and assured labor peace between the two sides for the next ten years, will be prominently displayed in the Hall of Fame.

The CBA was signed by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and NFLPA Executive Director DeMaurice Smith during a ceremony on the Hall of Fame’s front steps during the annual Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival.

Another memento from this historical event that is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s collection is the pen used by Goodell to sign the CBA. The silver pen with a NFL logo he used to add his signature to page 255 of the document was handed over the Pro Football Hall of Fame shortly after the ceremony.
