It was six years ago that EMMITT SMITH stepped back into the national spotlight when he starred on Season 3 of Dancing with the Stars. Along with Professional dancer Cheryl Burke, Smith won the competition and took home the coveted disco ball trophy.

"I am so proud of this trophy and I am proud to share it with Cheryl," Smith explained after the season finale. "We worked our tails off."

Now, Smith and Burke step back on the dance floor beginning Sept. 24 when they defend their crown on Dancing with the Stars All-Stars. Their competition this season includes Melissa Rycroft as well as Joey Fatone, Pamela Anderson, Kirstie Alley, Bristol Palin among others.

“Everyone is really good. I’m just happy Emmitt is the only football player on the show,” Burke revealed. “You have Apolo [Ohno], who is loved by everybody, Shawn [Johnson], and you have other sports players on the show, so I think it’s going to be between them.”

Former Washington Redskins great and Hall of Fame cornerback DARRELL GREEN is helping the New Kent County, Va. school division launch a new initiative to improve the health of its educators. The school district’s Superintendent Dr. Rick Richardson has made it possible for all employees to begin the "EduFit4Life" program.
