{GALLERY}The Pro Football Hall of Fame received mementos from the San Francisco 49ers’ history-making performance during the team’s Week 5 win over the Buffalo Bills. The 49ers became the first team in National Football League history to record 300 yards passing and 300 yards rushing in the same game.
The milestone is being preserved by the Hall of Fame with the addition of a ball from the game signed by quarterback Alex Smith and running back Frank Gore. In addition, the team sent Gore’s shoes and gloves to the Hall of Fame.
San Francisco racked up 621 yards of offense during their 45-3 win over Buffalo on Oct. 7. Smith completed 18 of 24 passes for 303 yards and 3 TDs to post a passer rating of 156.2. He also chipped in with 49 yards on three rushes. Gore led all runners on the day with 106 yards on 14 carries and scored 1 TD.
