Each year fans wait anxiously to find out who their favorite team is going to select in the annual NFL Draft. The words "the card is in" makes fans' hearts race as moments later the pick is announced to a live audience as well as the millions tuning in through television or the many other devices in which the draft is detailed.
Nearly every one of those draft cards since 1997 have become part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's vast collection of historical documents. Each one is sleeved in museum-quality envelopes and stored inside the Ralph Wilson, Jr. Pro Football Research and Preservation Center.
