Riggins hosting new series

Gold Jacket John Riggins will host a new outdoors/cooking series, “Riggo on the Range,” on Destination America. The show premieres in October.
“Riggo on the Range” follows the Hall of Fame running back and celebrity guests around the country in pursuit of extraordinary fishing, hunting and outdoor adventures. Each week, viewers will join John and his guests on a journey to explore this great country and then experience the joys of cooking its bounty with prominent chefs.
The show is unique approach in the outdoor television category. It combines Riggins’ colorful personality and his passion for the outdoors in some of America’s most scenic locations. The Class of 1992 inductee will be joined by notable sports figures such as his Hall of Fame coach Joe Gibbs, and the Washington Redskins’ famed offensive line, “The Hogs.”
“I've always loved being in the great outdoors. You know, ‘Where the Wild Things Are’!
Now, with my new show I get to share my time with, and hear untold stories by some very accomplished people, using Mother Nature as our backdrop. We find the fixins’ for dinner, and then let the nation’s finest chefs turn it into a meal befitting a gourmet. Aahh, ain't life grand!” shared Riggins.
“Riggo on the Range” airs on Destination America every Saturday at 9 p.m. ET and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. ET. The show premieres on October 2.
