An exciting recap of the 2014 National Football League season and the thrilling Super Bowl XLIX is now showcased at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The new NFL Films production “Road to the Super Bowl” recently debuted in the Hall’s Super Bowl Theater, located inside the Lamar Hunt Super Bowl Gallery. Hall of Fame guests are treated to the spectacular presentation that captures the sights and sounds of the game as only done by NFL Films.

The Hall’s Super Bowl Theater is an immersive visual and sound experience featuring a large 40-plus foot screen and 15-channel surround sound that allows fans to experience NFL action and the Super Bowl like never before. The presentation was specially created for the Hall’s Super Bowl Theater and produced by NFL Films Senior Producer Margaret Ruffing Morris. The NFL Films veteran began working on the assignment a week after the New England Patriots’ dramatic victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX.

Ruffing Morris shared, “Most of my work is just shown on television screens and even sometimes on the internet. So, it’s very very cool that it’s going to be on such an awesome screen and such a cool setting. The Hall of Fame, it doesn’t get any better than that!”

“Road to the Super Bowl” treats fans to the season in two parts starting with a creative look at the many memorable moments of the 2014 NFL season. The theater then rotates 180 degrees where the drama of Super Bowl XLIX unfolds on the large screen.

“That’s what we aim to do at NFL Films, deliver the moments and I hope I did that,” stated Ruffing Morris.

The film does not include narration but features the sounds of the game and sensational music from NFL Films.

“I let music dictate my storytelling. I chose all the songs before I even began cutting the film. I scored this before editing it,” she noted. “I think that is a huge part of storytelling, the emotion that music can evoke in people.”

Bob Santelli, executive director of the Grammy Museum, traveled to Northeast Ohio for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Festivities this weekend. He visited the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Friday morning for a meeting with Hall executives. Santelli and his wife toured the Hall of Fame afterwards and experienced the Super Bowl Theater.

“It puts you on the field, it puts you right in the huddle and it puts you right in the minds and soul of the football players out there. It made you understand the power and intensity of what a Super Bowl victory and loss is all about. It’s pretty powerful,” explained Santelli.
