The votes have been tabulated and the public has made their choice. The Pro Football Hall of Fame, according to The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer and Cleveland.com, is Ohio’s Top Tourist Attraction. “In the end, the world’s best steel roller coaster was no match for the men in Gold Jackets,” The Plain Dealer declared.

In addition to the hundreds of thousands of guests who annually visit the Hall of Fame from all 50 states in the U.S. and more than 60 foreign countries, the national sports attraction reaches millions more through its programs and nationally broadcast events. As a result, it came as no surprise to Hall of Fame executives that fans across the country, Gold Jackets, many NFL teams, and even a rock band supported the Pro Football Hall of Fame in large part through social media, during the three-week contest. Gold Jackets such as the NFL’s all-time rushing leader Emmitt Smith and Rock-and-Roll Hall of Famers Aerosmith were among those who took to Twitter to encourage fans to vote. Aerosmith will perform at the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Friday, Aug. 7 in the first-ever Concert for Legends.
