Alan Page To Receive Monogram Club’s Moose Krause Award
Former Minnesota Supreme Court Justice, University of Notre Dame Alumni and Hall of Fame defensive tackle Alan Page has been named the 2016 recipient of the Notre Dame Monogram Club’s Moose Krause Distinguished Service Award. This award is the highest honor given by the Monogram Club.
The Moose Krause Distinguished Service Award is given annually to an individual who is an active member and displays the following: Exemplary performance in local, state or national government, outstanding dedication to the spirit and ideals of Notre Dame, demonstrated responsibility to and concern for their respective communities and extraordinary commitment and involvement with youth.
Page will be presented with the prestigious award during the Monogram Club’s 100th Anniversary Celebration Weekend, which will take place Oct. 28-29.
“There is no one more deserving of the Moose Krause Award than Justice Page. His exemplary career in public service as a distinguished Justice of Minnesota Supreme Court with long-standing commitment to the education of students in his community make Justice Page an ideal choice for this award. On behalf of the Monogram Club Board of Directors and our over 8,000 members, we congratulate Justice Page and we look forward to welcoming him and his family to campus in October," said Monogram Club President Kevin O’Connor
Page along with fellow Gold Jackets, Joe Namath, Jim Kelly, Jim Brown, Curtis Martin, Steve Largent and Warren Moon, stars in the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s “A Game For Life” a holographic experience. In the documentary, Page stresses the importance of education to further life on and off the field is currently premiering at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Museum.
Gold Jackets Inspire Israel’s National Football Team
The Israeli national tackle football team has traveled to Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy, this week, for a four-team European Champion playoff tournament.
“Greater” Nationally Released Starting Aug. 26
“Greater,” the film about Brandon Burlsworth who is consider as the greatest walk-on in the history of college football, will open nationwide Aug. 26. The movie had a successful exclusive premier at the Pro Football Hall of Fame earlier this year.
