Pro Football Hall of Fame to Feature Extensive Coverage of Super Bowl Week Events
The Pro Football Hall of Fame will be onsite in Houston, Texas covering events during Super Bowl Week as it continues to increase its presence on social media. The Hall’s coverage will give fans a special look inside many of the Hall’s exclusive events during Super Bowl Week such as the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017 press conference at the “NFL Honors” show. The Hall is working in conjunction with the NFL and NFL.com to provide this extensive coverage.
"The Pro Football Hall of Fame production and social media team is proud to take their fans ‘inside the ropes’ with this new exclusive content,” said George Veras, chief operating officer and executive producer, Pro Football Hall of Fame. “Just in the past year, we have experienced an 80 percent increase in our video traffic. In collaboration with the NFL and NFL.com, we are excited to give fans a ‘front seat view’ with the Class of 2017."
The Hall of Fame’s coverage of Super Bowl Week events will span from Wednesday, Feb. 1 through Monday, Feb. 6. A few notable events the Hall will be featuring include:
- photos and video of Hall of Famers doing interviews in the Super Bowl Media Center;
- the broadcast of the Merlin Olsen Super Bowl Luncheon via Facebook Live on Friday, Feb. 3 featuring Hall of Famer Michael Strahan hosting a roundtable with Doug Williams and fellow Gold Jackets Jackie Slater and Shannon Sharpe, all graduates of HBCUs;
- and a live stream of the Ford Chalk Talk with hosts Michael Irvin and Jim Kelly on Saturday, Feb. 4.
- Fans can also get a glimpse of the new Class of 2017 participating in a Hall of Fame orientation on the day after Super Bowl LI. The Hall will treat fans to a Facebook Live of the new class being measured for their bronzed busts, Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence by Kay Jewelers, and the Hall of Fame Gold Jacket created by Haggar.
