The Mission Featuring Sarah Thomas, NFL Official
In honor of Women’s History Month, Hall of Fame Productions celebrates the excellence of Sarah Thomas, the first woman to officiate a Super Bowl.
Thomas’ history-making artifacts are no stranger to the Hall of Fame. She currently has multiple items on display in the Pro Football Today Gallery.
On “The Mission” podcast, Thomas shared her humble beginnings of officiating youth and high school football games, the ups and downs of breaking through the glass ceiling of a tight-knit fraternity and the mentors who have encouraged her and still are inspiring her to this day.
A true trailblazer, Thomas is now a six-year NFL officiating veteran. She offers advice to young, bright, female candidates who are interested in this line of work: study your craft, work extremely hard and don’t worry about the naysayers.
