3 Selected as Ford Hall of Fans' Class of 2022

The Ford Hall of Fans has announced the selection of three superfans for its Class of 2022: Michael Banks, a Detroit Lions fan; Amy Nolan, a New York Giants fan; and Terence Young, a Chicago Bears fan.
 
Their selection brings to 12 the number of inductees in the Ford Hall of Fans, which recognizes some of the most passionate and electrifying NFL enthusiasts across the country.

Today in Los Angeles, Pro Football Hall of Famer CHARLES WOODSON notified the three of their election as members of the Class of 2022. Last week, each had been selected as finalists as the result of being the top vote-getters in a monthlong online polling of fans that garnered more than 100,000 votes at FordHallofFans.com. Each won a trip to Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles to attend the big game, the Super Bowl Experience (the NFL’s interactive theme park) and other Pro Football Hall of Fame events.
 
“Fans are the lifeblood of football,” said Jim Porter, President of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. “The Hall is proud to join Ford in honoring these loyal fans who represent millions of other great fans across the country.”
 
Banks, Young and Nolan will be honored with a presentation of their own display at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton during the Class of 2022 Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls in August.
 
Banks, a disabled military veteran, has been a Lions season-ticket holder for nine years, having inherited his love for the team from his mother and father, who would share stories of the Detroit Lions beating the Jim Brown-led Cleveland Browns. On game days, Banks, 51, who is retired, decks out his vehicle with Lions flags and stays at the stadium until the very end, cheering loud and proud, no matter the score. Banks donates to the Domiciliary Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program and assists veterans with special needs
 
Nolan grew up watching the “Big Blue” with her father, who passed away from cancer in 2006. A first-year season-ticket holder, she never misses a game and even travels to away games to keep the legacy of Giants fandom in her family alive and well. For her 40th birthday, Nolan threw a tailgate watch party in her front yard for everyone to root for the Giants. She serves as executive director of development at American Cancer Society and participates in the local Relay for Life walk in honor of her father.

As the Class of 2022, Banks, Nolan and Young will join inductees from the first three Ford Hall of Fans classes in Canton. They are:
 
Class of 2021: Arizona Cardinals fan Kristi Brown, Las Vegas Raiders fan Wayne Mabry, aka, “the Violator,” and Cleveland Browns fan Ray Prisby, aka, “Showdawg.”
 
Class of 2020: Kansas City Chiefs fan Janel Carbajo, aka, “Puppet Lady,” Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan Keith Kunzig, aka, “Big Nasty,” and Denver Broncos fan Rob Garner.
 
Class of 2019: Miami Dolphins fan Roger Avila, aka, “Dolfan Maniac,” Pittsburgh Steelers fan Rick Holman and Chicago Bears fan Don Wachter, aka, “Bearman.”
