Sweet Home Alabama
All eight USFL teams played their home games in Birmingham this season. Given the Stallions nearly flawless season, it begs the question as to how much they benefited from a home-field advantage. With both the USFL Playoffs and Championship Game being played at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio, Birmingham will be playing on the road for the first time, needing two straight road wins to claim a league championship.
All USFL games are being played in Birmingham. The locals are therefore far more likely to show up when the Birmingham team is playing. On Saturday night for Stallions-Gamblers, they're there. https://t.co/bf0oNmOwNW
