Hall of Fame receives artifacts from Tyreek Hill’s, Mike Tomlin’s historic seasons

The end of the 2023 NFL regular season saw Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill make history and Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin surpass a Hall of Famer. 

In Week 18, the Steelers defeated the Baltimore Ravens 17-10, marking Tomlin’s 173rd regular-season win of his 17-year coaching career. The victory put Tomlin ahead of Hall of Fame coach BILL PARCELLS, who finished his 19 years in the NFL with 172.

Now 1The end of the 2023 NFL regular season saw Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill make history and Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin surpass a Hall of Famer.3th on the all-time wins list, Tomlin has also led Pittsburgh to a winning record in each of his 17 seasons as the team's head coach and surpassed Hall of Famer GEORGE HALAS (16 consecutive seasons from 1933-1942 and 1946-1951) for the third-longest streak by a head coach in NFL history. Only Hall of Famer TOM LANDRY (21; 1965-1985) and Bill Belichick (19; 2001-2019) compiled a longer streak.

The Hall of Fame received Tomlin’s game-used headset and a game ball from the historic victory. 

After recording 1,710 receiving yards in 2022, Tyreek Hill became the 13th player to surpass the 1,700-yard mark. Hill followed with 1,799 receiving yards in 2023, becoming the first NFL player to record at least 1,700 receiving yards in multiple seasons. 

Since entering the NFL in 2016, Hill is the second player with at least 700 receptions, 10,000 receiving yards and 75 touchdown receptions in his first eight seasons, joining Hall of Famer MARVIN HARRISON.

Now on display in the Hall’s “Pro Football Today Gallery” are Tomlin’s headset and game ball, along with a game-worn jersey from Hill’s record-setting season.
