The Pro Football Hall of Fame, which opened in 1963, is celebrating its 50th year of honoring the game’s greats and preserving the sport’s long and inspirational history.

As part of this year-long celebration, the Hall of Fame has published a new book titled “The Pro Football Hall of Fame 50th Anniversary – Where Greatness Lives” edited by Joe Horrigan and John Thorn.

On Saturday, Dec. 8, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. co-editor/author Joe Horrigan will be on hand for a special book-signing session at the Hall of Fame Store. No admission is required for anyone wishing to visit the Hall of Fame Store.

This beautifully illustrated compendium features images of hundreds of the Hall of Fame’s priceless artifacts and archival photos, many of which have never been seen before.  The 300-plus page book includes essays by some of the game’s top writers who offer a decade-by-decade history of the NFL.

Every living Hall of Famer has contributed a commentary on some aspect of the game and its history; each deceased member is represented in a sidebar or pullout quote. THE PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME 50th ANNIVERSARY BOOK is a triumphant salute to America’s favorite pastime and sure to be the cornerstone of any pro football fan’s library and makes a great holiday gift.
