Record number of quarterbacks hit 100-point rating

A record seven quarterbacks posted a 100-point passer rating or better during the 2013 NFL Season. Nick Foles, a second-year player who was elevated to the starting QB  position with the Philadelphia Eagles early in the season, led the league with a 119.2 rating. Foles’ mark, earned by completing 203 of 317 passes for 2,891 yards, 27 TDs and only two interceptions, is the is the third best in NFL annals.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and Green Bay Packers signal-caller Aaron Rodgers both posted the fifth 100-point passer rating of their careers. One quarterback, the Chicago Bears Josh McNown, eclipsed the 100-point plateau for the first time. The other quarterbacks to reach the milestone mark for the season were Phillip Rivers of the San Diego Chargers, the New Orleans Saints’ Drew Brees, and Seattle Seahawks passer Russell Wilson.

The 100-point passer rating plateau has been breached a total of 67 times by 39 separate quarterbacks.
