The chase began in Fawcett Stadium

{GALLERY}Sunday night marked the official start to another National Football League season as the New Orleans Saints defeated the Arizona Cardinals, 17-10 in the NFL/Hall of Fame Game. The preseason classic kicked off the chase for the Super Bowl.

The prize that goes to the winner of Super Bowl XLVII was recently put on exhibit inside the Hall of Fame. The Vince Lombardi Trophy that will be awarded at the conclusion of Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans was delivered in an armored vehicle to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Thursday afternoon (8/2).

The Lombardi Trophy, that is on exhibit inside the Lamar Hunt Super Bowl Gallery, replaced the Hall of Fame’s Vince Lombardi Trophy and will remain on display throughout the 2012 NFL Season before being shipped to the Super Bowl site in late January.
