Starr's beginning in the NFL was not the easiest. His first four seasons in the league netted four straight losing seasons.

Things started to turn around for Starr when a man by the name of Vince Lombardi took over as head coach in 1959.

With Lombardi at the helm, Starr flourished, leading the Packers to six division titles, five NFL titles, and two Super Bowl championships.

Starr earned league MVP honors in 1966, was the MVP in Super Bowls I and II, was a three-time passing champion, and was selected to four Pro Bowls.

In 1977 Starr was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Here he poses with his Hall of Fame presenter and former high school coach Bill Moseley.
