Effective Friday, May 28, visitors to the Pro Football Hall of Fame will be able to experience all features of the Museum, including several exhibits and areas that had remained offline since the COVID-19 pandemic closed the Hall for nearly three months last year.

Among the attractions returning to use: the popular “Madden” Xbox gaming systems, the Sounds of the NFL theater and “Magic Memories” photo booth. Seating in the A Game For Life theater and the Super Bowl Theater, which recently was updated with the 2020 season highlights and Tampa Bay’s victory in Super Bowl LV, will return to full capacity. The Hall of Fame Café will reopen June 7.

“Last March, the Hall of Fame made the difficult but necessary decision to close its doors for the health and safety of guests and employees,” said David Baker, President & CEO. “The Museum did not reopen until June 10 – a span of almost three months when the Hall never before had been closed for more than two days in a year. Today, we are thrilled to say, ‘The Pro Football Hall of Fame is totally reopening for business.’”

The opening of all Museum areas coincides with the Pro Football Hall of Fame implementing revised State of Ohio and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines regarding mask-wearing and other protocols related to COVID-19 health and safety measures.

Also effective Friday, visitors to the Hall of Fame who are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus may stop wearing masks or maintaining social distance inside the Museum. (Fully vaccinated means it has been at least two weeks since a final vaccination date.) For guests who are not fully vaccinated, masks will continue to be encouraged. Employees of the Pro Football Hall of Fame will follow these same guidelines.

Some health and safety practices implemented when the Hall of Fame reopened last June will remain in place. Guests will continue to find numerous hand sanitation stations throughout the Museum. Plexiglass barriers will stay in the Retail Store checkout and Guest Services welcome areas. One-way traffic flow, which many guests said enhanced their viewing experience in addition to providing a measure of safety, will be encouraged throughout the Museum although not mandatory.

Also beginning this weekend, visitors to the Pro Football Hall of Fame will have three more hours to experience the Museum. “Summer hours” begin Saturday, May 29 and run through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 6. The Hall will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
