Graduate students study Hall of Fame

Norman Bleckner has been integrally involved with much of the look that fans enjoy when visiting the Pro Football Hall of Fame. That’s because he has been a part of the teams that have overseen the design, fabrication, and installation of most of the Hall of Fame’s major expansions and exhibits since the mid-1990s.

Today, Bleckner is sharing his wisdom on exhibit design with graduate students as an adjunct professor at The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City. On Tuesday, Bleckner and 15 students from his class titled, “The Museum’s Role – Exhibit Design for Museums & Permanent Projects" visited the Pro Football Hall of Fame for an in-depth site survey and discussion with Hall of Fame staff.

The students are working on a project this semester that focuses on them proposing conceptual designs for the Hall of Fame’s future expansions.

Interestingly, the nationalities of the 15 students involved in the project are representative of Israel, Taiwan, Thailand, Poland and the USA.
