Will Shields Added to College FB Playoff Committee
Will Shields, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2015, has joined the College Football Playoff selection committee.
Shields was a 12-time Pro Bowl selection in 14 seasons as right guard for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was an Outland Trophy-winning lineman at the University of Nebraska.
Joining Shields on the 13-person committee is Joe Taylor, one of the winningest coaches in HBCU history and a newly elected member of the Black College Football Hall of Fame.
Shields, Taylor and three athletic directors will begin three-year terms on the committee that determines which teams will play for the Division I national football championship.
