'Football Night in America' to kick off season at Pro Football Hall of Fame Game

The Pro Football Hall of Fame Game is kicking off more than the NFL season this year.

NBC Sports announced Thursday that "Football Night in America," which the network says is the most watched studio show in sports, will be on site Aug. 4 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio, for the first time. 

"Football Night" will begin at 7 p.m., and the game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders is at 8 p.m.

According to a news release from NBC, the new "Football Night" team of Maria Taylor, Hall of Famer TONY DUNGY, Rodney Harrison, Jason Garrett, Chris Simms, Jac Collinsworth and Mike Florio will be together on air for the first time and will feature player and coach interviews, preview the game and the 2022 NFL season, and celebrate the players being enshrined into the Hall of Fame that weekend. 

The Class of 2022 includes tackle TONY BOSELLI, wide receiver CLIFF BRANCH, safety LeROY BUTLER, official ART McNALLY, linebacker SAM MILLS, defensive end/defensive tackle RICHARD SEYMOUR, coach DICK VERMEIL and defensive tackle/defensive end BRYANT YOUNG. Learn more about Enshrinement here.

NBC News correspondent Stephanie Gosk also will be on site to report on the news and festivities surrounding the game for "TODAY" and "NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt," according to the release.
