"Ringing" in history

A Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl XLVIII ring arrived this week at the Hall of Fame.

The 14k Tiffany & Co. ring features the Seahawks logo set in diamonds with the Vince Lombardi Trophy in the background. It was placed on exhibit in the Super Bowl Gallery alongside the rings from the previous 47 Super Bowls.

One side of the shank includes the Seattle skyline, the Super XLVIII logo and the NFL shield.

The other side features Mount Rainer behind CenturyLink Field, the player’s name and number, and the Seahawks 2013 season record of 16-3.

The inside of the ring is engraved with the words “Leave no doubt 24/7” and “What’s next?” with the score of the game. The bottom has 12 feathers on it and the number 12 is affixed to the top of the ring both signifying Seattle’s fans as the "12th man."

The Seahawks defeated the Denver Broncos 43-8 to win their first Super Bowl.
