Strahan Wins Emmy Award

Class of 2014 enshrinee Michael Strahan and his television co-host Kelly Ripa won a Daytime Emmy Award on Sunday night in the category for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host.
Strahan and Ripa host the daily talk show “Live! with Kelly & Michael” that airs on ABC. The show features celebrity interviews, human interest stories and segments on health, beauty and fashion. Strahan joined as a permanent host in September of 2012. He also hosts the "FOX NFL Sunday" pregame show during the football season. This was his first Emmy win. He was nominated in 2014 in the category for Outstanding Sports Personality - Studio Analyst.

Before his days hosting shows on TV, Strahan was sacking quarterbacks on TV. He played defensive end for the New York Giants from 1993-2007. Strahan established an NFL record 22.5 sacks and led the league with a career-high seven forced fumbles in 2001 and helped the Giants win two NFC championships and two Super Bowls. He was also named to the NFL’s All-Decade Team of the 2000s.
