2003 Hall of Fame Mascot Named

Winner was chosen from 17 semi-finalists

2003 Hall of Fame mascot Kendahl Ungar poses with Ronald McDonald outside of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.For Kendahl Ungar, a 7-year old from Canton, OH, the 2003 Pro Football Hall of Fame Festivities will be extra special.  Kendahl has been selected as the official McDonald’s Mascot for the 2003 AFC-NFC Hall of Fame Game on August 4, featuring the Kansas City Chiefs and the Green Bay Packers.

In a drawing held at the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Monday July 28, 2003, Kendahl was among the 17 semi-finalists who were selected from each of the participating McDonald’s Restaurants in the Canton area.

McDonald’s official Hall of Fame Game Mascot, a 2nd grader at St. Michael school, and three other family members will be guests at the pre-enshrinement Hall of Fame brunch.  Kendahl will also pose for a photograph with the 2003 Hall of Fame Enshrinees and will be introduced during pre-game ceremonies of the Hall of Fame Game.

Among those present for the drawing were John Bankert, Executive Director of the Pro Footbal Hall of Fame; Guy Cicchini, owner/operator of the 17 participating McDonald’s; Canton Mayor Richard Watkins; and Ronald McDonald.
