Marty Lyons to present Joe Klecko at 2023 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement

JOE KLECKO has announced that former New York Jets teammate Marty Lyons will present him on stage during Enshrinement.

Klecko and Lyons played alongside one another for a total of nine seasons (1979-1987) and more than 100 games, with Klecko at DE/DT/NT and Lyons at DE/DT.

The two were a part of one of the strongest defensive lines during the late 1970s and early 1980s, known as the "New York Sack Exchange." The group, which included Mark Gastineau and Abdul Salaam, combined for an unofficial 66 sacks in the 1981 season, a year before the sack became an official stat in the National Football League.

"He’s someone that has known me and played alongside me. There’s no one better than that guy," Klecko stated.

The Class of 2023 will be enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, Aug. 5, at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton. Tickets for Enshrinement are available at www.profootballhof.com/tickets.
