In the spring of 1984, the Hall of Fame inaugurated its Educational Outreach Program which is designed to educate as well as entertain students in grades kindergarten through 12th as they tour the pro grid museum.
The thrust of the program, which is available to any school, is an attempt to integrate the pro football and museum experience with classroom studies while encouraging the use of critical thinking skills.
Teachers may choose from either the "Careers In Sports" program that emphasizes non-player sports careers and the importance of education, or the popular "No Huddle" program that emphasizes the museum concept and pro football's historical ties to Northeast Ohio. The Hall of Fame staff is also available to assist teachers in developing custom-made programs for their class.
