To date, more than 20,000 players have stepped onto the field to play professional football, along with scores of coaches and owners that have been associated with the game; yet only 247 have earned their way into the Hall of Fame since its inception in 1963.
The values associated with these legends…commitment, dedication, courage, loyalty…are what endear them to the fans and link them to the tradition of professional football.
The Super Bowl XLIII Pro Football Hall of Fame Luncheon will be hosted by Hall of Famer Merlin Olsen on Friday of Super Bowl week at Florida’s oldest restaurant, the Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City. A maximum of 175 guests will have the opportunity to meet members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame in a very intimate environment. Proceeds will benefit the Pro Football Hall of Fame - a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit educational institution/museum.
